**Who Teaches the Teacher? *
Behind every dedicated musician is a journey of learning, inspiration, and mentorship. In my own path as a guitarist, I have had the incredible privilege of being taught by one of the world’s finest flamenco and multi-instrumentalist musicians—El Amir.
El Amir is an internationally renowned composer and performer, a true master of his craft. His virtuosity spans multiple instruments, and his deep understanding of flamenco tradition blends seamlessly with innovative musical expression. He has performed with world-class artists, composed many fine compositions, and captivated audiences across the globe.
I was honored not only to learn from El Amir but also to welcome him to Jersey for a special concert—an unforgettable experience made possible through our connection. His mentorship has profoundly shaped my approach to music, deepening my understanding of flamenco and expanding my artistic vision.
Beyond my own playing, I have passed on the invaluable knowledge I gained from El Amir to my students—a responsibility I take seriously and one that he fully supports. His teachings continue to inspire not just me, but also those who learn from me, creating a ripple effect of flamenco excellence.
