“I have been learning guitar with Tim for exactly six years, and the experience has been life changing. I never thought when I sent that first email that I would be doing what I do now. Thanks to his dedicated teaching and inspiring guidance, I now have the privilege of a regular slot at the Savoy Hotel, I have performed two sell out recitals at the Jersey Heritage site 16 New Street, participated in various concerts at local churches, played an open air recital at Greve de Lecq and a wedding at La Crete Fort! A personal highlight was meeting El Amir, one of the greatest modern Flamenco artists, who Tim himself has had lessons from.
When I first started learning with Tim, he showed me the correct techniques, which, when used properly, significantly accelerated my progress. I can now play pieces I never imagined I would be able to play.
His particular passion for Flamenco has given me an appreciation for this style and has become a central part of my repertoire.
Tim communicates exceptionally well, offering helpful emails and tailored video resources to reinforce learning between lessons. His teaching space is wonderfully equipped, with excellent lighting and a large screen for reading from, making lessons comfortable and engaging. He also accommodates online Zoom lessons, which we used during lockdown and found just as productive as face-to-face sessions, and are great if you suddenly find you can’t make a lesson in person.
The guitar is now a very important part of my life, and I am incredibly grateful for Tim’s guidance, patience, and passion for music. I still enjoy having lessons with Tim—there is always more to learn and refine.”
